Discover Our Legacy: Over a Century of Service with the Dallas Founder Lions Club

Explore a pivotal historical year through an enlightening article from the Dallas Morning News dated January 6, 1918. During the global crises of WW1, the Dallas Founder Lions Club was at the forefront of local initiatives, leading projects like the Liberty Loan campaign and establishing the Dallas Baby Camp, now known as the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Our efforts also included restoring the Oak Cliff viaduct's lighting and the Old Red courthouse clock, guided by L.H. Lewis, a future president of Lions Clubs International.

With a passionate group of 166 members, our club championed progressive changes, advocating for the inclusion of women in Lions Clubs long before the organization adopted it.
