Dallas Founder Lions Take on Reverchon Park for the 26th Annual Cleanup
Preserving a Historic Green Space Through Service and Community Action
The Dallas Founder Lions Club is continuing its tradition of community service by joining the 26th Annual Reverchon Park Roundup on March 1st. More than just a cleanup, this event is an opportunity to protect one of Dallas’s historic green spaces, connect with fellow volunteers, and contribute to a global Lions International cause: environmental sustainability.
Reverchon Park, located at the end of Turtle Creek Boulevard and adjacent to the Katy Trail, has been a vital part of Dallas’s outdoor life since 1915. Generations of residents have enjoyed its trails, sports facilities, and gathering spaces, and maintaining its beauty requires the dedication of volunteers year after year. The Reverchon Park Roundup brings together individuals, businesses, and service organizations like ours to ensure this cherished space remains clean, welcoming, and accessible to all.
As part of our commitment to service, our club is proud to roll up our sleeves, get our hands dirty, and make a real impact. From clearing debris and spreading mulch to planting flowers and refreshing the landscape, our efforts will contribute to the park’s ongoing revitalization.
Beyond the service aspect, the event also strengthens our bonds as Lions and community members. Working side by side with other volunteers fosters camaraderie and reminds us why service is at the heart of what we do. Plus, after a productive morning, we’ll take time to relax and celebrate our hard work together.
Participating in efforts like the Reverchon Park Roundup is just one of the many ways the Dallas Founder Lions Club serves the community. Whether it’s through vision clinics, youth programs, or environmental initiatives, our club continues to embody the Lions’ motto: We Serve.
If you're inspired by this work and want to learn more about the Dallas Founder Lions Club, we encourage you to join us at one of our upcoming meetings at El Centro College, held on the first and third Friday of each month at 11:45 AM.
Together, we can make a difference—one park, one project, and one act of service at a time.
